Meet the founder and understand the mission behind Verso.

Luke Mead

Founder, Verso Gaming Ltd

Luke has spent years exploring the crossroads of gaming, competition, and technology. Verso was created from a simple belief: that skill-based competition deserves a trusted, regulated home — one that rewards mastery, protects players, and elevates competitive gaming for the next generation.

Why I Created Verso

Verso began as an idea that stayed with me for almost ten years. As a lifelong competitive gamer, I’ve always believed the best moments in gaming come from mastery — those final-circle battles, tense fights where teamwork and precision line up, and you win because you earned it.

Those moments shaped my love of competitive play, but they also revealed something missing: there was no real way for skilled everyday players to turn that mastery into meaningful opportunity.

At the same time, I watched the industry drift toward systems built around chance, cosmetics, and progression mechanics that often had little to do with performance.

Even brilliant games were wrapped in monetisation layers that rewarded spending more than skill. It felt like the heart of competitive gaming — fairness, mastery, and player-driven achievement — was slowly being overshadowed.

Verso is my answer to that. I wanted to build a platform where skill alone determines outcome, where competitive play means something again, and where players can grow, compete, and earn in a trusted, transparent environment. A regulated, skill-based layer that sits on top of the games we already love — built around the belief that mastery should matter more than RNG, loot boxes, or opaque systems.

The Mission

Verso overlays multiplayer games with a skill-based platform that turns mastery into meaningful opportunity — with outcomes determined solely by player performance. Our mission is to restore meaning to competitive gaming by making skill the foundation of every match.

The Vision

We imagine a future where skill is recognised as a meaningful path within gaming — where talented players can showcase their ability, earn recognition, and unlock real opportunities in environments defined by fairness, trust, and integrity.

As competitive play evolves, we believe a new ecosystem can emerge — one where mastery creates real possibilities for players, from gaining visibility and building communities to opening doors to coaching, competition, and career-shaping opportunities around the games they love.

Our long-term vision is to help establish the foundation for that future: a trusted, regulated layer that supports players and developers across genres, strengthens the culture of mastery, and creates space for new communities and skill-first achievement.

As gaming continues to grow, we see room for an ethical, transparent alternative — one that values excellence over expenditure, empowers everyday competitors, and elevates the meaning of victory in multiplayer games.

Verso exists to help build that future — a future where skill can become a career, not just a pastime.

Introducing Skill-Tech

Skill-Tech is a new category of technology built around one simple idea: human skill should create fair, trusted, and meaningful value.

Verified Skill Outcomes

Skill-Tech starts with proof. Every match is logged, checked, and tied to real human performance — not luck, loot boxes, or hidden modifiers. Outcomes are determined solely by player decisions and execution, creating a competitive space where mastery is measurable, auditable, and genuinely earned.

Trusted, Transparent Systems

Behind the scenes, Skill-Tech borrows the discipline of modern fintech. Wallet flows are designed to be regulated, match data is auditable, and integrity checks run automatically. Players, developers, and regulators can see how value moves through the system — with fairness, compliance, and transparency set as the default.

Economic Opportunity

Skill-Tech turns mastery into meaningful reward. Instead of spending to stay competitive, players showcase their ability, build a cross-game track record, and unlock real opportunities — from higher-stakes competition to future earning potential around the games they love.

Skill-Tech is a new economic layer for skill — and Verso exists to help make it real.
